A
beautifully illustrated children's book from Soviet Moldavia, written
by Moldavian poet Grigore Vieru. He presents several very short stories
about a young boy named Doru. A couple, including the title story, are
quite touching; most are heavy-handed moral tales with a strong Soviet
message.
